Continually exploring many facets of art and design, each of my artistic disciplines inspires ideas in a myriad of ways. Mixed media fosters that creativity. I love the process of creating - as a designer, illustrator, teacher, jeweler - it is the awakening within the objects around me that provides my inspiration. A little like a stew, it has to simmer a bit or wait until the perfect ingredient is in season before the piece is just right. Whether it's mixed-media paper, wire, watercolor, acryllic, precious metal clay or resin, the combinations creates a feeling of belonging. It's less about the media and more about the story. I graduated from the American Academy of Art with a degree in Graphic Design and Fine Art, and later received my Certification in Precious Metal Clay (PMC). Currently I am a part-time Graphic Designer at Bending Design and teach workshops at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center and elsewhere.
